Year 2015 Lessons

Here’s wishing you a Happy New Year 2016!!
Things I learnt last year:
1) It all depends on you. If you want to be happy, it’s your choice. If you want to be sad, that choice is yours too. Choose wisely.
2) Not everything happens as you expect it to. Accept that. I mean Expect that.
3) If you are serious about someone like in a relationship, be absolutely sure the other is totally fine with things that you like. Coz as you get older, tolerance fades. Take caution so you don’t regret your own choice. The other should respect you! Respect your family! Don’t ever forgive if your own family is taunted.
4) No one can push you around, unless you let them.
5) Another point about relationships. Put yourself in your future children’s shoes and think. Will my partner be a good parent? A good role-model for our child(ren)? Will our children grow to be happy, independant, strong individuals?
6) Take a break. Have a Kit-Kat. No seriously! Do it. Not the Kit-Kat part but the break part. This life is always going to be a roller coaster. You need to take time out for yourself before you drive yourself insane.
7) Stop! Really Stop with the pity. No one needs pity. What they need is company. They need to know that there is someone, anyone who cares.
8) Come on! Share your experience without being asked. What is it with seniors and waiting to be asked for advice. Give it! It’s your right and duty!
9) There is always going to be someone out there or right next to you to stop you from taking that right/next step for valid reasons. But, if you feel you need to do something, make it happen. Shout out! Fight! And make it happen.
10) Don’t obsess. If something has to happen, it will happen like water making its way through sand, it will find a way. If it doesn’t, don’t bother. It doesn’t matter.
